LTP 61 twin-motor nutrunner - accurate and now twice as fast

2008-06-03

Presenting the LTP 61, it offers the same high accuracy as its predecessor the LTP 51, a popular tool among truck and bus manufacturers. But it’s much faster – in fact, rundown is twice as fast!

High accuracy and high productivity

Why twin motors? A standard shut-off nutrunner gives you reliable tightening by building up torque in a smooth, continuous way, which produces excellent quality in the tightening phase.
However, this controlled action tends to slow the process down during the rundown phase.

With the LTP 61, you get the accuracy you need and high productivity. The secret is the twin-motor arrangement. There is a high-speed motor for fast rundown and a high-torque motor for reliable tightening.

Low noise and vibration levels

The ergonomically designed LTP 61 is a tool you can work with all day long. Exhaust air is piped through the handle into a hose, minimizing noise from the pneumatic system, and there is no noise generated by the actual process. Since torque is transferred continuously, vibration levels in the LTP 61 are low.

Making light work of heavy tasks

The LTP 61 fits comfortably in the hand and, as with other Atlas Copco shutoff nutrunners, the reaction force is handled by a torque-reaction bar, minimizing wrist and arm strain for the operator.
