Atlas Copco Showcases Marine Compressor Technology at 2011 International WorkBoat Show

Atlas Copco Compressors will showcase its reliable and broadened range of compressors for marine environments, including starting, working and instrument air compressors, at the 2011 International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. Located in the southwest corner of the Morial Convention Center at booth No. 3313 the Atlas Copco exhibit will feature the company’s LT-KE60 and GA11+ marine air compressors.

“We have made significant strides to increase offerings and services that meet and exceed the unique demands the marine industry places on products and equipment,” said Trey Ragsdale, Product Manager - Oil Injected Screws for Atlas Copco’s U.S. Industrial Air Division. “International WorkBoat provides us with an opportunity to speak with thousands of existing and future customers about how our industry-leading technology can meet their unique demands.”

The new water-cooled LT-KE piston compressors, recently re-engineered specifically for marine uses, withstand ambient temperatures up to 60°C/140°F, making them ideal for the engine room in both fresh and saltwater applications. The LT-KE line also features the smallest footprint in the market, operates with noise levels as low as 91dB(a) and has a vibration foundation of less than 14 mm/sec. Synthetic oil is standard for the LT-KE; they also run just as smooth and quiet on mineral oil.

The International WorkBoat Show is the largest commercial marine tradeshow in North America, serving people and businesses working on coastal, inland and offshore waters. More than 1,000 companies will display products and services for commercial vessels and the companies that build, service and operate them.
