Atlas Copco Compressors Showcases Energy-Saving Compressed Air and Vacuum Technology at EASTEC 2015 – Booth #3323
Atlas Copco Compressors will showcase a range of energy efficient compressed air and vacuum solutions at EASTEC 2015. Hosted from May 12-14 at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass., EASTEC is New England’s premier manufacturing exposition.
“The products on display at EASTEC represent Atlas Copco’s commitment to increasing the energy savings of its customers through innovative and energy efficient compressed air and vacuum solutions,” said Peter Kyriacopoulos, general manager/vice president USA region east, Atlas Copco Compressors LLC. “Compressed air systems often account for as much as 30 percent of a plant’s total energy consumption so reducing energy consumption is essential, especially in New England where energy costs are high. Atlas Copco’s variable speed drive technology has saved New England plants more than $100 million in energy costs since it was introduced in 1994.”
The new GHS 350-900 VSD+ range of variable speed drive oil-injected screw vacuum pumps for rough and medium vacuum applications dramatically reduces lifecycle cost through innovative vacuum controls and energy efficient variable speed drive (VSD) technology. Based on the well-known and durable plug-and-play design principles of Atlas Copco compressors, the GHS VSD+ reduces energy usage by up to 50 percent with significantly better performance benchmarked against traditional oil-sealed and dry vane vacuum pumps.
The GA VSD+ represents one of the most innovative changes to rotary screw technology since Atlas Copco launched the world’s first economical-to-manufacture variable speed drive compressor in 1994. With a 12 percent improvement in free air delivery, quiet operation (down to 62dB(A)) and a compact footprint, the innovative GA VSD+ offers energy savings of 50 percent compared to a traditional load/unload compressor of the same type.
Atlas Copco representatives will be available at booth No. 3323 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 12-13 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 14.
