Atlas Copco’s Gas and Process Division Opens Service Center in Houston, TX
Atlas Copco Gas and Process division, which is responsible for the sales, repair and service of gas compressors, expanders and pumps, has launched a new dedicated aftermarket organization, to better serve North American customers in the industrial gases, oil and gas, and renewable energy markets. The aftermarket organization will commence its operations during Q3/2014.
“Having a well-developed service business is crucial for our division and for the entire Group,” said Ton Teunissen, Vice President Aftermarket for the Gas and Process division. “By consistently strengthening our aftermarket sales in the region and developing a high-performing field service team, we establish a fully functional service center that will contribute to the success of the Gas and Process division and support our customers in a sustainable and profitable way.”
Headed by Michael Shafer, Business Line Manager Aftermarket, the Service Center North America will support customers in the US, Canada and Mexico with on-site maintenance, overhaul and repair of existing installations. The center will also provide consulting services and technical assistance, with original parts availability continuing to be a key factor in supporting customers and growing the aftermarket sales sector.
To increase productivity, a team of highly trained service engineers will inspect, maintain and repair equipment while bringing the know-how to the field and making machinery run at optimum efficiency.
