Atlas Copco Compressors Supports Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

2013-10-21

For the sixth consecutive year Atlas Copco Compressors supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s “Swing for the Cure” fundraising campaign, raising $8,840 in employee contributions. The Swing for the Cure event is held annually in partnership with the Charlotte Knights, whose stadium in Fort Mill, SC, is only a few miles from Atlas Copco Compressors’ North American headquarters.

“This annual event provides our team with an opportunity to rally around a great cause,” said Holly Boutot, marketing communications manager, Atlas Copco Compressors. “Unfortunately, the game was rained out this year, but we were still able to generate a lot of support for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and its mission to find a cure for type one diabetes.”
In addition to the contribution from Atlas Copco Compressors and its employees, a portion of ticket sales, as well as proceeds from an auction of game-worn jerseys signed by Knights’ players, will benefit the Charlotte (N.C.) Chapter of JDRF and diabetes research.
